Abstract:
With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology, embodied intelligence—an intelligent paradigm emphasizing the interaction between the body and the environment—offers a new theoretical perspective and practical pathway for STEAM education. Based on the theory of embodied intelligence, this paper systematically explores the integration mechanism of AI and STEAM education, analyzes its unique value in promoting hands-on practice, multimodal learning, and situated cognition, and identifies multiple challenges in current practice, including technological costs, teacher readiness, curriculum integration, and ethical equity concerns. Accordingly, the study proposes strategies such as a three-stage implementation pathway("enlightenment-development-innovation")tailored to different educational levels, an integrated pre-service and in-service teacher development mechanism, the creation of modular open educational resources, and the establishment of a multi-stakeholder collaborative ecosystem. These recommendations aim to provide theoretical and practical guidance for the deep integration of embodied intelligence and STEAM education.
