Abstract:
The construction of new liberal arts holds significant value in promoting the high-quality development of ideological and political theory courses in universities. It is essential to holistically grasp the proposition of high-quality development for these courses under the new liberal arts paradigm from the dimensions of intrinsic logic, educational orientation, and practical approaches. The underlying intent lies in critically examining the role of humanities in the era of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the value trajectory of new liberal arts in empowering ideological and political education, and understanding the fundamental characteristics of high-quality development. To clarify the educational orientation of reforming and innovating ideological and political courses in universities, it must align with the strategy of building an education powerhouse, enhance the ideological and political leadership of these "key courses, " and target the three-dimensional goals of knowledge, ability, and values in talent cultivation. For this purpose, practical efforts must involve systematic and holistic planning, strengthen the top-level design of the educational system, integrate teaching and learning resources, cultivate a high-quality faculty, and comprehensively evaluate the quality of courses and talent development. Research indicates that the construction of new liberal arts provides a critical pathway for ideological and political courses in universities to achieve the unity of political relevance, academic rigor, and contemporaneity by reshaping knowledge systems, innovating teaching methods, and enhancing faculty competencies. Ultimately, this serves the fundamental goal of cultivating a new generation capable of shouldering the responsibility of national rejuvenation.
